A long movie that reminds me a lot of the 'Lord of the Flies'. The similarities begins and ends with the kids though since Blindness is a very adult version of what happens when men become uncivil. You are plunged into the world of those who cannot see and given a big "what if..." scenario that reminds you how much all of us depend on our sight.
The movie almost takes on the feeling of a documentary, but then you are also given a first hand view of what it might be like to be blind. This movie sought to be raw as possible with the evils of mankind. There was a lot of unnecessary footage of this that in many cases did nothing more for the storyline.
My biggest problem with this movie was the logic used by those kept in the center. The one woman that was able to see acted like she was blind herself. A lot of things could have been avoided if she engaged her brain.
